How many people is the site suitable for?
The site and cabin work well for around 150 people, assuming people are outside or also using a marquee.
Can I arrange a viewing?
If you wish to view the site, you are welcome to walk up and see for yourselves or please get in touch to discuss more.
Can you tell me about the marquees
Use of a marquee can increase capacity and give a variety of options for poor weather days. We have a list of approved marquee suppliers, however you would work with your chosen supplier directly to select your preference and type.
General information
The following is some general information:
After removing the protective outside shutters, the views from inside the Log Cabin are spectacular.
There can be about 40 people seated at tables, and double that standing around inside or seated in rows; the tables are just the picnic style with benches attached, also some stackable plastic chairs. They can go outside to free up the cabin space which is 5m x 8m excluding the small kitchen and toilet.
A wheelchair could pass through the doors and there are no steps, but the grassy areas are uneven in places.
Is there electricity?
The site has no installed electricity, however the marquee companies can supply a generator which plugs in at the site to power your marquee lighting, sound, and the Log Loos.
Is there running water?
Yes there is cold running water on site, however, with a generator hot water can be obtained in the separate toilet block, where there are also two basic hot showers.
Is there cooking facilities?
There is a gas powered cooker / stove inside the cabin itself, suitable for small scale food production.
Is there a toilet inside the cabin?
There is one toilet inside the cabin, in a separate room at the back, just off the kitchen. The main toilet facilities, with ladies and gents is in a separate building.
Is there a fireplace inside?
There is a large, classic style rustic stone fireplace inside for gorgeous warm open fires. Lots of firewood is supplied so a great time can be had without many extras. An outside campfire area is also there to use unless very windy.
Is there car parking?
When hiring the site you get keys to the gates and the private carpark (situated close to the cabin). Mini buses can reach this area and turn easily for delivery and collection of guests. There is lots of room for parking cars or vans, and camping in the grassy areas at the sides of the site near the surrounding trees.
How do I make a booking?
Click “Book Now” at the top right to get in touch with your preferred dates. A 20% deposit is required on booking, and the balance one month before the date.

Where to stay?
If hiring the site yourself and your guests may camp right on-site, if desired. Else you can choose from a range of excellent options nearby, such as the wonderful Tree Houses, at Harvest Moon Holidays. Harvest Moon Holidays is the closest to us and can be reached on-foot!

Please note – the Log Cabin at Ravensheugh Beach is a privately owned site.
Unauthorised camping and fires are not allowed, and people who do not have express permission from the owners to use the site will be asked to move on. Thank you.
